Glaucoma, 8/1990

I was about to enter fifth grade and I had positive energy but before I could get them I needed to get the eye pressure test. I hated that blue light thing with a passion, my dad used to try to reassure me that I’d get a Burger King Whopper when it was done and they were really good back then. I was journaling back then so I might as well provide the original source material.

41 eye pressure in my right eye and 30 in my left. It is actually a miracle that there wasn’t vision loss.

Then came the drops. I hated them, particularly Phosphonline Iodide (this was the bad old days before Xalitan). Getting the old dialating drops as an infant and toddler was one of the least favorite things. Now I had to do it every day.

My spirit had not been broken yet at this time. My mom was even about to have my littlest sister!
